Harmony By Design
Our new building design is formed by two arcs, which maintain a geometric focus on the historic meeting house. These arcs generate from the site of the historic meeting house pulpit. In the historic Meeting House the diamond
and triangle are the central geometric shapes while in the new building these curves and arcs are the new central geometric shapes.
The Crossing design veils the mass of the new auditorium so that is sits naturally and beautifully on the site. The new lower roof slopes down to join seamlessly with the historic meeting house as well as subtlety echoing the original meeting
house prow.
The new building as a whole, in its use of natural materials, and attention
to use of natural lighting and other energy sources operates as an integrated eco-system
